ALLAHABAD: Taking potshots at Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) Government over the recent exodus of Hindu families from Kairana village of Shamli district, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi on Monday alleged that the ruling dispensation in Uttar Pradesh has no shame about the deteriorating law and order situation.

Gandhi said there is neither development nor safety, adding the Samajwadi Party Government has no shame about the rising crimes in the state.

"There will be a time when everyone will wish to leave Uttar Pradesh. There is no development, no protection for farmers or for life," Gandhi siad.



"I get at least 10 to 15 calls from Uttar Pradesh everyday regarding rape, kidnapping and the lackluster attitude of the police. It seems the Uttar Pradesh Government has no shame," she added.

BJP legislator and Muzaffarnagar riots accused Hukum Singh had earlier reportedly said that the Hindus were being forced to leave their homes in the Muslim-majority town in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the police have ordered a probe into the alleged migration after Singh presented a list of 346 families from the Muslim-majority town while claiming that they had to leave their homes after attacks and extortion attempts.
