The Gwalior police arrested two people after a video of a man licking the soles of another person's feet after being forced to do so in a moving vehicle went viral. The victim and the accused are residents of Dabra town in Gwalior district, said an official, as reported by PTI. The incident comes days after widespread uproar over the Sidhi urination incident in the state.
In the video that has gone viral online, one can see the victim being slapped several times by another man, who also forces the former to say "Golu Gurjar baap hai” (Golu Gurjar is father) in a moving vehicle. In another clip, the accused is seen hitting the victim on his face with a footwear several times. He is also heard abusing the victim verbally.
Soon after the video surfaced online, the Gwalior police sprung to action and arrested two people in connection with the incident. A case was also registered against the accused under relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code for abduction and beating following the complaint of the victim's family.
"A video went viral on social media on Friday evening that shows a man being thrashed in a vehicle. The video clip is being sent for a forensic examination,"Dabra Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Vivek Kumar Sharma was quoted as saying by PTI.
Earlier this week, a video had emreged on social media platforms showing a man urinating on a tribal youth in Sidhi district of the state, triggering huge outrage. The accused, Pravesh Shukla was arrested immediately after the video went viral on Tuesday.
