New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in his radio talk Mann Ki Baat on Sunday at 11:00 am in the morning.


This was the 43rd edition of Mann Ki Baat, addressed by the PM who has returned from China after having one on one talks with Xi Jinping.

Today's talk primarily concentrated on topics of Commonwealth Games, Swachh Bharat internship  and water conservation.

PM started his talks by congratulating all the Indian athletes who won medals in the 21st Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia.

He cited their inspiring quotes.

PM Modi said: "When our athletes stand with their medals, wrapped in tricolour, with our nationl anthem playing in the background, the emotion is indescribable.  He said that this victory was special as all the wrestlers who took part  have won medals.

He talked about Swacch Bharat Internship. The 100 hour experiential internship program would require the candidate to visit one or more villages and conduct activities of their choice to contribute to the cause of rural sanitation in India.

Registration for the summer internship is open from 25th April 2018 to 15th May 2018.

Talking about water conservation he said: "Govt leaving no stone unturned towards water conservation." He tried to raise awareness and responsibility of citizens towards water conservation.

In his last Mann ki Baat address, Modi touched upon the issues of MSP for farmers and his government’s aim towards “affordable and accessible” healthcare.
