Make India No 1 Campaign: Kejriwal Issues Number For Citizens To Join Mission 

Kejriwal termed the campaign a "national mission" and appealed to the people to join in realising the long-cherished dream of India becoming the best in the world

After launching 'Make India No1' campaign on Wednesday, August 17, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal during an address in Delhi Friday issued a phone number urging people to give a missed call to "help India become the number 1 nation in the world".

"I am issuing a number today, missed call number 9510001000. Those who want to join this mission, those who want to see India as the number 1 nation in the world, the most powerful nation. The best nation should join this mission", said Kejriwal in his address, reported news agency ANI.

CBI Raid 

Arvind Kejriwal's address came hours after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inspected around 21 places in Delhi and its surrounding regions, including the house of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The raids are being carried out in relation to alleged anomalies in the Delhi Excise Policy, according to PTI.

"There is no need to panic over the CBI raid, let them do their work. They have orders from above to harass us," he said, accusing the Centre of targeting his party leaders for doing good work and being praised globally.

Campaign Launched 

'Make India No.1' campaign was launched on Wednesday. The Delhi Chief Minister had proposed a five-point vision for good governance and said he would travel across the country to garner support for the cause.

He termed the campaign a "national mission" and appealed to the people to join in realising the long-cherished dream of India becoming the best in the world and figure in the world's most developed countries.

"We have to make India the number one nation in the world once again. We have to make India great again. We are beginning a national mission called 'Make India No.1' today," Kejriwal said in his address, as reported by ANI.

"It has been 75 years of independence. In these 75 years, we achieved a lot, India gained a lot but there's anger, a question among people that several small nations which attained independence after us, surpassed us. Why did India lag behind? Every citizen is asking this," he further added.
