New Delhi: A major fire broke out in a furniture market in Delhi's Kirti Nagar area on late Thursday night. The blaze gutted many shops of the densely  congested furniture market. More than 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.After working for hours, the fire brigade was finally able to douse the flames around 6:20 am.


As per last reports coming into the matter, no casualties have been reported in the matter. Visuals from the spot shared by news agency ANI show the entire area covered in massive flames. The photographs suggest that some shops near a railway line caught fire. Many of them appear to have been gutted.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far . Firefighting operations are underway. The exact reason for the fire and the total damage suffered is not known yet.
