Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai levelled allegations against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, who is surrounded by a massive row over allegations pertaining to "cash and gifts" from businessman Darshan Hiranandani for "asking" questions in Parliament, and said that attempts were made towards him to withdraw his complaint registered at the Central Bureau of Investigation. Dehadrai also said that his dog was he was “fearful” for his dog’s safety.
Jai Anant Dehadrai took to X and said, “An attempt was made yesterday afternoon, to coerce me into withdrawing my cbi complaint and letter to @nishikant_dubey in exchange for Henry. I flatly refused - will give details to CBI. Messenger is totally innocent - but tells you everything about her."
“A well-wisher has told me that Henry is being kept deliberately locked up inside the Telegraph Lane residence to deter CBI from entering. Henry is a large Rottweiler, and although gentle, but he does possess a strong protective instinct. I am now truly fearful for HIS safety,” Dehadrai said in another post on X.
Moitra, who is one of the most vocal members of the Lok Sabha, is in the eye of a raging political firestorm over allegations by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Nishikant Dubey that she took bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions targeting industrialist Gautam Adani and his group.
In a veiled attack on Moitra, Dehadrai, who is believed to be her 'jilted ex', termed the TMC MP a “pathological liar” and said, “It takes a very special kind of crookedness to use an animal as a bargaining chip."
“Some people are pathological liars. It takes a very special kind of crookedness to use an animal as a bargaining chip. When that doesn’t work - start blaming the world around you. God is watching,” Dehadrai said on X.
