Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has claimed that Maharashtra minister Gulabrao Patil was involved in a Rs 400 crore scam during the Covid-19 crisis, news agency ANI reported on Sunday (April 23). Raut also called the deaths of soldiers in Pulwama, sadhus in Palghar, and 14 Shri Sevak (followers of Appasaheb Dharm Adhikari) in Navi Mumbai culpable homicides in his weekly column 'Rokhthok' in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana. He also chastised prime minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah for remaining silent on the Pulwama and Kharcha incidents.

Raut assured of evidence against the state minister, saying, "I have evidence of corruption against him. During the Covid pandemic, he purchased overpriced equipment. He paid Rs 15 lakhs for ventilators that should have cost Rs 2 lakhs."

"14 people were killed in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The victims were taken in the hot sun by the government. Ex-Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik revealed that the government was responsible for the deaths of 40 jawans in the Pulwama attack in 2019. The deaths in 'Pulwama' were also culpable homicides, as was the killing of three sadhus in Palghar. So, why is there different justice in each of these cases?" Raut inquired.

Raut questioned whether the Pulwama attack was sponsored and whether a plot was hatched to disrupt the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Raut also claimed that after former J&K governor Satyapal Malik revealed the details of the Pulwama attack, the government attempted to divert public and media attention by "staged the encounter" with Atiq Ahmed.

Raut told the media on Sunday in Pachora that the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government would last only 15-20 days and would fall apart in two weeks.
