Maharashtra's Palghar experienced mild tremors of magnitude 3.6 on Thursday morning. An official of the district disaster control room said the tremor was recorded at 4.04 am on Wednesday, 24 kilometres east of Dahanu at a depth of 5 km, PTI reported. There was no report of any death or damage due to this seismic activity.
Dahanu taluka in Palghar is an earthquake prone zone. The area has experienced a number of tremors since November 2018. Most of them have been centered around Dundalwadi village.
On November 9, strong tremors were felt in Delhi and parts of central Uttar Pradesh at 2 am after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck in Nepal. At least six people died and scores were left injured in Nepal due to the earthquake, which occured at a depth of 10 km.

Following the quake, which lasted for nearly 10 seconds, there was panic in several areas in Lucknow and Ghaziabad and people stayed out of their homes for nearly two hours after the tremors were felt.
On Tuesday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Ladakh's Kargil district on Tuesday, said NCS. There were no reports of any casualties or damage to property. The epicentre of the tremor, recorded at 10.05 am, was 191 kilometers north of Kargil.

On November 1, a moderate earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Madhya Pradesh. According to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) regional office in Bhopal, the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 km.
The tremor, which occurred at 8.43 am, was felt in Jabalpur, Dindori, Madla, Anuppur, Umaria and Balaghat districts.
