Madhya Pradesh Political Crisis Highlights: A day after resigning from the Congress, Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the BJP today in presence of the ruling party's president JP Nadda and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, saying the country's future is secure in his hands.
Welcoming him into the BJP, Nadda recalled the party's founder and Jyotiraditya's grandmother Vijaya Raje Scindia and said, "he is joining his family and we welcome him."
Thanking Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah and Nadda, Scindia said they have given him the platform to serve the people.
"Pained" and "distressed" for not able to serve the people in his previous organisation, he said the Congress is living in denial and it is not the same party what it used to be.

Former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined the BJP earlier in the day, was nominated by the party for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh in a list of 11 candidates released on Wednesday evening.
Rahul Gandhi also rubbished Scidia's claim that he was unable to meet him and interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi, since that would be impossible for a person who had all access at all time to the Gandhi household.
Disgruntled ex-Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is scheduled to join the saffron party today at its headquarters, further delayed his programme as BJP leader Zafar Islam arrived at his residence a few minutes ago. The ceremony that was scheduled to take place at 12 noon has been getting delayed since past one and a half hour. It is now slated to take place at 2:00 pm.
Six separate petitions have been submitted to Speaker for disqualification of the six ministers Tulsi Silawat, Mahendra Singh Sisodiya, Imarti Devi, Govind Singh Rajput, Prabhuram Chaudhary and Pradumn Singh Tomar under Article 191(2) of Constitution of India, Congress leader JP Dhanopiya said.
The petition also includes references of past Supreme Court and High Court rulings.

Jyotiraditya Scindia will most likely be inducted in the Bharatiya Janata Party at 1:30 pm. So far, BJP president JP Nadda has not reached the party headquarters, as he is in the Parliament as of now. Scindia will be leaving for the venue after Nadda reaches office, sources stated.

As per sources, the disgruntled ex-Congress leader will be formally inducted into the saffron party at 12:30 pm in a ceremony in the presence of party chief JP Nadda.

New Delhi: A day after pushing the Kamal Nath government into a grave crisis with his sudden resignation along with 22 other MLAs, Jyotiraditya Scindia will now join the BJP at the party headquarters on Wednesday. The former Congress MP and Union Minister will join the BJP at 12.30 p.m. at the BJP headquarters in the presence of BJP National President J.P. Nadda.
On Tuesday, Scindia met former BJP President Amit Shah. The two later met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence.
Following that meeting, Scindia released the letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi where he announced his exit. The resignation letter is dated March 9 (Monday).
Meanwhile, to safeguard their MLAs, both the Congress and the BJP have decided to guard their flock ahead of the crucial coming test of strength in Madhya Pradesh. The BJP organised four luxury coaches to take their MLAs to Delhi by a special flight late on Tuesday night. They were then lodged in a luxury hotel in Gurugram.
Remaining Congress MLAs also took off for an undisclosed location.
