The rate of commercial 19 kg LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 198 in Delhi on Friday. The new price is now Rs 2,021 from the earlier Rs 2,219 per cylinder, according to news agency ANI. In Kolkata, the rate of the commercial gas cylinder has been slashed by Rs 182 while in Mumbai it has been reduced by Rs 190.50. In Chennai, the cut in price is of Rs 187, reported the news agency.
The rate cut in commercial LPG cylinders was announced by Indian Oil Corporation. Meanwhile, the rates of domestic LPG cylinders didn’t change this month keeping the pressure on consumers. A domestic cylinder of 14.2 kg is still available at the same rate as on May 19.

The rate of domestic cylinders has remained same since May 19, trading at Rs 1,003 in the national capital.
The increase in the prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinder in recent months attracted criticism from the opposition parties. The Congress on Thursday attacked the Centre over high LPG prices. In May, the domestic LPG cylinders rates were hiked twice, first by Rs 50 on May 7 and then again on May 19.
In Chennai, a domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 1,019. While in Lucknow, Jaipur, and Patna, the cylinder is costing Rs 1,041, Rs 1,007, and Rs 1,093, respectively.
While the cost of domestic LPG cylinder in Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Gorakhpur are at Rs 1,031, Rs 1,010, Rs 1,006, and Rs 1,012, respectively. In Bhopal the price is Rs 1,009, while in Agra a domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 1,016. In Ranchi the price as of July 1 is Rs 1,061.
