Congress Invites I.N.D.I.A. Bloc Leaders To Participate In 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'

According to news agency PTI, Jairam Ramesh stated, "The Congress invites all INDIA bloc leaders to participate in this yatra," emphasising that invitations are being sent out for it.

The senior Congress leader asserted that the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' holds "transformative" potential for Indian politics, drawing parallels with the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

He remarked, "The Congress President and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi chaired a meeting, which was attended by all the PCC chiefs and CLP leaders. Discussions were held on preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and the yatra, which will be undertaken by Rahul Gandhi from January 14 from Manipur."

The yatra, scheduled to kick off at 12 noon on January 14 from Manipur's Imphal will see Rahul Gandhi addressing social, economic, and political justice issues during the 67-day journey, as per the Congress.

Jairam Ramesh recalled the impact of Rahul Gandhi's earlier 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' covering 4,000 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, asserting that it had brought about a positive change in the national atmosphere and rejuvenated Congress party workers. He noted, "It proved to be a milestone in the party's history."

The 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' foot march, covering over 6,713 km, will traverse through 110 districts, approximately 100 Lok Sabha seats, and 337 assembly segments.
