New Delhi:  In an incident in Etawah police station in Uttar Pradesh, a man who performed a dance as a punishment for flouting lockdown norms has led to the suspension of the official.


The man in a video, which went viral, can be seen dancing to the song of Sapna Chaudhary as the police stand by and watch him.

In fact, the man seemed to be enjoying the moves to the song ''teri aankhon ka yo kajal'' which prompted the police to hoot as well.

But as soon as the clipping went viral, the post in charge was suspended. Check out the tweet below from Omar Rashid who shared the clip in Twitter.

In yet another incident in UP, a 2.20-minute video that has been shared by Samajwadi Party on Twitter, shows a policeman allegedly beating up a man.

"The barbaric face of the UP Police has once again come to fore in Biba Mau village of Etawah. A constable has brutally beaten up a mentally-challenged youth. Suspension of the constable is not enough, Station Officer should also be investigated," the SP said in a tweet.

The man being assaulted in the video is Sunil Yadav, said a statement from the DGP office as reported in PTI.

The police had gone to meet Yadav on Saturday receiving complaint from some locals related to flouting the lockdown rules, but he attacked a constable with a sharp-edged weapon.

An FIR was filed against him under relevant sections of the IPC. Constable Subhash Kumar has been suspended. A probe in this matter has been ordered and the circle officer of Jaswant Nagar, Etawah will look into it.
