Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani was admitted to the Indraprastha Apollo hospital on Tuesday morning. He was admitted at the Neurology department under Dr Vinit Suri at the Apollo hospital for a routine and follow-up check-up.
According to the doctor's statement, Advani is said to be in a stable condition and will likely be discharged soon.
A month ago, the senior BJP leader was admitted to the Apollo Hospital on July 3 and was discharged after a few days.
Prior to this, the former Deputy PM was also admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi in June due to old-age related issues. He was discharged after a day.
The 96-year-old leader was conferred the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, by President Droupadi Murmu on March 31 at his residence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, and former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu were also present at his residence.
Defecne Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah also attended the ceremony along with Advani's family.
PM Modi had also visited Advani before forming government for the third consecutive time.

Born in Karachi, Advani joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a Swayamsevak in 1942. He then migrated to India after partition along with his family in 1947.
Advani then joined the Bharatoya Jana Sangh in 1952 and entered Rajya Sabha in 1970. Thereafter, he served as BJP's National President twice, from 1993 to 1998 and also from 2004 to 2005. Advani, along with former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, were arrested during the 1975 emergency.
When the saffron party formed the government under the leadership of Morarji Desai, Advani was named the Information and Broadcasting minister nin 1977.
Advani had also served as the saffron party's president ever since its inception in 1980, and was also among its founding members. He is credited with the BJP's rise from merely two seats in the 1984 Lok Sabha polls to forming a government in the 1990s.
