A guy was apprehended by Jodhpur police on Monday for allegedly harassing a Korean blogger in Rajasthan. Social media images showed a man pursuing the girl as she recorded a video of herself before revealing his privates. In the footage, the girl can be heard screaming and fleeing away from the man. Police were alerted to the situation when the video went viral online and put the accused into custody, news agency ANI reported.

Speaking with media, Jodhpur East DCP Amrita Duhan stated: “A woman foreign tourist blogger had put up a post on her social media that a man had sexually harassed her in Jodhpur. Taking cognizance of this information, we identified the man and arrested him.” She continued by saying that the arrested man's medical check will shortly take place.

Chief of the Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal responded to the video by denouncing the "disgusting" incident and announcing that she will write to Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot to demand harsh action.

Taking to Twitter, DCW Chief stated: “Just came across this video of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country. Am writing to Shri@AshokGehlot51 to take strongest action!”

Earlier last year, a South Korean YouTuber was accosted sexually by two guys in Mumbai's Khar in December. A 60-second footage of the YouTuber, who was recording a live video on social media at the time, shows a man snatching her hand, setting up outrage over the sexual assault.

The suspects, named as Bandra residents Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari, were taken into police custody and held there for 24 hours.

Later, she admitted that the police had responded quickly and that, despite this incident, she still planned to visit India in the future.
