New Delhi: After Punjab and Haryana High Court granted a big relief to BJP spokesperson Tajinder Singh Bagga by putting a stay on his arrest till July 5. After the verdict by the High court, he spoke exclusively to ABP News and slammed AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal. He said, " The Delhi CM thought he was above law, but the court proved him wrong."
He raised questions about the Punjab police's priorities and said that instead of focusing on their real duty, the police are tracking those who are tweeting or speaking against the AAP chief. Talking about the Mohali explosion, he further said, "Punjab police should think about their priorities. they are been attacked by rocket launcher but they are busy keeping an eye on who tweets against the Delhi CM."
He also claimed that when the Punjab police arrested him the cops told him that they are helpless and just following orders but if he stops speaking against Kejriwal, all cases will be shut. He added that he doesn't believe there is any fault of the state police, they are just acting on order by Kejriwal and his "assistant CM" Bhagwant Mann.
In dramatic developments on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was arrested by the Punjab Police from his home In Delhi on Friday, stopped in Haryana while being taken to Punjab, and brought back to the national capital by Delhi Police hours later.
A non-bailable arrest warrant was also issued against the BJP leader by a Mohali court the next day.
Hours after the Mohali court issued the arrest warrant in connection with a case registered against him by the Punjab Police last month, Bagga had moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging it.
In a reprieve to Bagga, the HC Saturday night directed that no coercive step be taken against him.
