The Aam Aadmi party garnered a thumping win in the Delhi Assembly polls after securing a massive mandate by crossing the majority mark with relative ease. As per the latest result trends, the party secured a whooping 62 out of the 70 Assembly seats and came out as front-runners in a three party race which left the BJP a distant second with 8 seats. After losing Delhi Assembly polls and forfeiting its deposit on most seats the Congress on Tuesday held the "communal" campaign of BJP responsible for the results.
Addressing the media at a press conference here, Congress' Delhi in-charge P.C. Chacko said, "We respect the verdict of the people Congress lost the election today. We accept the results with humility. There was a strong polarisation in Delhi. The result is also due to that. Every election is a test of democracy.
