In the early hours of Sunday, a 20-year-old woman was reportedly killed after being pulled by a Banelo car for around 12 kilometres. According to sources in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), the FSL authorities examined the car and found no signs of blood inside or on the seats, news agency IANS reported.
According to the sources, FSL only discovered blood traces on the car's tyre, which proves the deceased wasn't in the vehicle.
The FSL crew also went to the location of the crime where the girl's corpse was discovered and took samples there.
"When the FSL team inspected car, there was no blood inside or on the car's seats. They only found the blood on the tyre," the source was quoted by IANS in its report.
In the meantime, a Delhi court on Monday ordered the five suspects nabbed in the Kanjhawala case to remain in police custody for three days.
The police had already sent a letter to the relevant authorities requesting the formation of a three-person panel of coroners to do the post-mortem. The police will decide on the next course of action and whether to add additional IPC sections to the FIR after receiving the autopsy report.
The tragedy occurred early on Sunday morning; the 20-year-old lady was murdered after a car struck her Scooty, and she was pulled by the same vehicle for a distance of several kilometres as a result of her clothing becoming twisted in the wheel.
The corpse of the lady is seen under a silver Maruti Baleno performing a U-turn in the Kanjhawala neighbourhood, according to one CCTV video that the police were able to acquire.
About 12 miles away from where the deceased was discovered, her Scooty was located.
Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mitthu, and Manoj Mittal were among those detained.
The woman's family believes there was foul play since she used to arrange wedding events.
