After Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to India, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said she was honoured that Sheikh Hasina feels safe in the country and called India as "motherland of all Islamic nations."
Ranaut, the BJP MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, said that Muslim countries are not safe even for Muslims and criticised those questioning Hindu Rastra.
Reacting to the developments in Bangladesh, Kangana, in a post on X said, "Bharat is the original motherland of all Islamic Republics around us. We are honoured and flattered that honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh feels safe in Bharat but all those who live in India and keep asking why Hindu Rashtra? Why Ram Rajya? Well it is evident why!!!"

Lashing out at the Muslim nations where not even Muslims are safe, she wrote "No one is safe in Muslim countries not even Muslims themselves. Unfortunate whatever is happening in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Britain. We are lucky to be living in Ram Rajya."
Bangladesh Chief Of Army Staff Addresses Nation After Sheikh Hasina Flee
Sheikh Hasina resigned from her prime minister post on Monday and fled from Bangladesh with her sister after widespread protests. Later, her C-130J Hercules aircraft landed at the Indian Air Force's Hindon airbase near Delhi.
According to Reuters, an interim government will take over immediately to address the escalating unrest in the country. Her resignation led to intense protests by the 'Students Against Discrimination' group, previously at the forefront of job quota demonstrations.
Sources in Bangladesh reported to ABP LIVE, "What started as a student protest has escalated into a regime change. This could have been avoided." They further said that Sheikh Hasina wanted to address the country prior to her resignation, but the military stopped her from doing so.
Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman addressed the nation on Monday shortly after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country. During his address, Zaman stated that the country is now going through political turmoil, even as he assured that all murders that took place during the protests would be investigated and justice would be served.
