According to the reports, a joint operation was launched by Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF’s 178 Battalion and Shopian Police on receiving inputs about the presence of militants from the Lashkar group in the Dachoo Zainpora orchards in Shopian district of South Kashmir.
News agency ANI quoted Indian Army sources as saying that based on specific information regarding the presence of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in orchards of Dachoo Zainpora, Shopian Police along with 44 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a search operation and busted a hideout.
The army officials further said that four Under Barrel Grenade Launcher Grenades and three Chinese Grenades were recovered by the security forces during the operation. The army later defused the seized the grenades at a safe place. The sources also mentioned that huge stash of administrative stores, ammunition, AK-47 magazine were also seized.
According to the security forces, further investigation and search operation is still being conducted in the areas around the terrorist hideout.

Meanwhile, as the standoff between India and China continues along the Line of Actual Control, incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistan on the Line of Control have also increased in what seems to be a planned move by Pakistan and China to pressurise India on both fronts.
Earlier this month, the Pakistan army violated the ceasefire however, the Indian retaliation in the Poonch sector was very heavy and caused havoc on the Pakistan side. According to Indian Army, in retaliatory fire, 2 soldiers of Pakistan's 10 Baloch regiments were killed and 3 were reportedly injured.
