Two labourers from were shot at and injured by militants in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night, officials informed news agency PTI on Thursday. While one received a gunshot wound in his shoulder the other was hit in the palm at a place Bapora in Zudur area of Budgam.
Terrorists fired upon 2 outside labourers working in a Brick Kiln in Chadoora area of Budgam. The duo was shifted to hospital for treatment where one among them succumbed, Kashmir Zone Police said.
The labourer killed in the attack has been identified as Dilkhush Kumar (17) from Bihar.
According to reports, the two workers have been identified as Dilkash and Guri. The injured labourers were rushed to a hospital, from where they were referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar.
The incident took place at around 9:10 pm and Police have cordoned off the area and are looking for the militants involved in the incident.
This come hours after a 29-year-old bank manager hailing from Rajasthan was shot dead by a terrorist of banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) inside his office premises in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, making it eighth targeted killing in the Valley since May 1 and the third of a non-Muslim government employee.
The man received grievous gunshot injuries and died on his way to hospital.
