The Lt Governor handed over the financial assistance of Rs 20 Lakhs to the Next of Kin (NoK) of the deceased and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims.

The Lt Governor strongly condemned the killings and said that the perpetrators of this dastardly act of violence would be brought to justice.

"Such a heinous act is an attempt to spread fear, and there can be no justification for such attacks," he added.

However, the visit is now also been under Covid scanner as BJP leaders had visited the family two days back.

Now the family is also under Covid-19 threat after BJP state president Ravinder Raina tested positive, making governors visit also susceptible as per the Covid protocol.
