New Delhi: In Rajasthan's capital city Jaipur, an old woman was on Sunday found near her home in a severely injured condition with her legs amputated. Her anklets were stolen, according to police, and she also sustained injuries around her neck, news agency ANI reported.
The incident happened in the Meena Colony neighbourhood near the Galta Gate police station.
To identify the criminals responsible for her condition, the police are searching for CCTV footage. At the time of the crime, the widow was alone at home as her daughter had gone to a temple.
According to preliminary findings, the miscreants committed the crime after dragging the victim into a restroom. The incident occurred around 5:30 on Sunday morning. The woman was taken to hospital after she was found in an injured condition.
Speaking to ANI, Gangadevi, the victim's daughter, said: "My daughter called & told me about my mother lying injured with chopped-off parts of her legs near a drain. She was immediately rushed to the hospital."
Her dismembered legs and the criminals' weapons were found by the police. A team from the Galta Gate police station arrived at the location after getting information. A call had also been made to the Jaipur City FSL squad for forensic inquiry.
The police said they have gathered adequate evidence and are conducting an investigation to find and nab the accused.
Elderly Woman Beaten To Death

Dhapubai Khateek (65) lived in the DCM area under the jurisdiction of Udhyog Nagar police station.
Three women — Manbharbai Khateek and their two daughters Simeran and Rekha — barged into Dhapubai's house around 8 pm on Friday and thrashed the sexagenarian and her daughter-in-law, according to Udhyog Nagar police station SHO Manoj Singh Sikarwal.
According to him, Dhapubai sustained serious internal injuries and became unconconcious. She was sent to a private hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. Sikarwal said his daughter-in-law also sustained injuries in the attack.
