Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday sacked 11 government employees under Article 311 of the Constitution for allegedly being involved in terror activities.
Those dismissed include Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf - the sons of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin.

The 11 government employees, including from departments like police, education, health, skill development, power and agriculture were according to the Jammu and Kashmir administration working as “overground workers” for the terror outfits.
The decision to suspend these 11 government employees under scrutiny was taken by a committee set up by the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
This committee, which was formed to scrutinise suspected individuals, had recommended the dismissal of these government employees.

No inquiry is conducted under Article 311 of the Constitution and the dismissed employees can only approach a High Court seeking relief.
Syed Mohammed Yusuf Shah, popularly known as Syed Salahudeen, is the head of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, a militant terrorist group operating in Kashmir, and head of an alliance of anti-India militant groups, the United Jihad Council.
He is listed on the NIA Most Wanted list.
