Locals of the area felt that the leopard has taken the girl as the area has been turned into a dense forest due to the nursery across more than 65 acres there.

Locals and family alleged that the incident took place due to the negligence of the administration as they in advance informed the concerned department about the presence of leopards in the nursery which could lead to any Disaster but the department didn't react.

"After receiving the complaints from the locals of the area we have hired Shooters to eliminate the leopards from the nursery and waiting for the order from higher-ups and will catch all the roaming wild animals from the area," said Afshana Dewaan, DFO Wetlands Budgam.
