NEW DELHI: As the ‘clash’ between ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Narcos’ on streaming sites like Netflix and Amazon Prime is up due to the same release date, a similar war has been started on social media site Twitter where users are saying ‘Mirzapur beats Narcos Superb story and acting’. The premiere of the fourth season of the drug drama "Narcos: Mexico" by Netflix was scheduled to release against Prime video’s ‘Mirizapur.’

"Narcos" has been a major global success for Netflix, whose previous three seasons chronicled the rise of Pablo Escobar's Medellin Cartel and later of the Cali Cartel. With the new season, "Narcos: Mexico", the show shifts to Mexico.

While Prime Video’s "Mirzapur", which is set in India, is poised to be a hinterland story that is as raw as it gets. It showcases a lawless land filled with action where the only rules are laid by Kaleen Bhaiya, played by the versatile Pankaj Tripathi. The show's trailer showcases the journey of two brothers lured by the idea of power only to get consumed by it. It also stars an ensemble cast of Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur and Amit Sial. Created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, it is directed by Gurmeet Singh.
