New Delhi: In the latest video that brings forth hardships of our brave soldiers, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel are seen patrolling a snow-bound area at 15,000 feet in sub-zero temperatures in the Himalayas, Uttarakhand.


The exemplary video of the ITBP personnel patrolling in harsh weather conditions gives goosebumps to anyone watching the scene at the comfort of their homes. The adversity of the soldiers serving the country at all weather conditions is beyond our imagination. It includes keeping fit, alert, and training for their jobs. 


In the video, ITBP personnel are seen walking together in a line as they clear their way amid the deep snow with the help of their equipment.

Meanwhile, a recent video of ITBP personnel showed them training in biting cold conditions near the border in Uttarakhand. In that video also, 'Himveers' or ITBP personnel are seen holding their weapons and taking part in a physical drill at minus 25 degrees celsius while standing knee-deep in snow.

It is commendable to watch them train in the vast expanse of snow and freezing cold temperatures.


Indo-Tibetan Border Police was raised on October 24, 1962, after the Sino-India war for reorganising the frontier intelligence and security set up along the Indo-Tibetan border. The force was tasked to keep vigil at the stretch of the India-China Border comprising 3,488 Kms at altitudes as high as 18,800 ft.


In January, too, a video of an army soldier standing amid heavy snowfall in the valley guarding the nation won the hearts of netizens. Many such videos have gone viral demonstrating how the troops continue to perform their tasks in hostile weather conditions to protect the nation.
