The Indian Railway responded to the allegations of mismanagement and overcrowding in its AC coaches with video evidence. It has urged the public to exercise caution against misinformation. The Ministry further cautioned against sharing outdated or misleading videos that could “malign” its image. One after another, the Railways debunked several viral videos lately.

The response by the Ministry comes after a video surfaced on social media, shared by Priyanka Deshmukh, alleging an incident of mismanagement on the Kaifiyat Express 12226.

"Experts from Brahmin Mahasabha have given this wonderful railway service to the country. This is today's incident of Kaifiyat Express 12226, 3AC. The man who had a reserved seat was not allowed to enter, so he broke the glass," Priyanka said in a post.

"Remember all this when you vote," she said in her post.

However, the Railways conducted an internal investigation and found no evidence of the incident being talked about in the post. The Ministry urged users to refrain from sharing such misleading content. Take a look at the post here:

Reports indicate that incorrect or outdated videos have been circulating on social media platforms, attempting to depict mismanagement within Indian Railways’ AC coaches. However, upon investigation, no evidence of mismanagement has been found on the ground, News 18 reported citing sources familiar with the matter.

The ministry is providing clarifications on a case-by-case basis and advising the public not to believe rumours.

In another instance, a video depicting overcrowding in a second AC coach was shared on X, which prompted huge criticism against the Railways. However, the Ministry swiftly responded with another video of the same coach, showing no signs of overcrowding.
