New Delhi: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli found himself ensnared in a controversy after he rebuked a critic to leave India. The viral video of the skipper venting out his displeasure for the social media user who thought Kohli was ‘overrated’ has not gone down well with the Twitterati who trolled Kohli left and right for his insensitive remark.

In a video available on his newly released app, Kohli was reading out tweets and Instagram messages when he came across a user who said that he had nothing special in his batting. The user had commented: “Over-rated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians."

Responding to his message, Kohli said : “Okay, I don't think you should live in India then you should go and live somewhere else, no? Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don't mind you not liking me but I don't think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.”

The remarks of the Indian skipper infuriated the netizens who slammed him in return.
