Nagaon: An Indian Army chopper made an emergency landing at a field in Assam's Nagaon on Wednesday.

The IAF's Cheetah helicopter, which was in flight from Dimapur in Nagaland towards Missamari, made the emergency landing after it developed a technical snag. As per last reports, all three crew members were safe.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Singapore Airlines plane, carrying 228 people, made an emergency landing at the airport in the New Delhi after suffering a glitch with its nose wheel.

The aircraft -- A380-800 -- from Singapore suffered a problem with its nose wheel and was towed away to the terminal, according to a passenger onboard.

According to the passenger, there was apparently "loss of steering capacity" for the plane, which also aborted landing once. The plane made a hard landing and stopped on the runway, he said.
