India has so far tested 86,08,654 samples for COVID-19, as per data provided by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

States under lockdown till July 31st
Maharashtra remains worst affected 73,313 active cases while at the second place is Tamil Nadu with 86,224 cases. The national capital has recorded 85161 cases to date.
Maharashtra government on Monday said the lockdown in the state is being extended till July 31. The current lockdown was to end on June 30. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had on Sunday ruled out lifting the lockdown from that date. An order issued by Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta on Monday said wearing face covers or masks, maintaining social distancing, restricted gatherings, and other measures shall continue to prevail. After Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu govt also extended lockdown till July 31.
While the Central government (Ministry of Home Affairs) has issued Unlock 2 guidelines West Bengal and Manipur state governments have also extended the lockdown.

Around 1.02 crore people have been infected by the highly contagious Coronavirus the world. The US (over 25.88 lakh), Brazil (over 13.68 lakh), Russia (Over 6.40 lakh), India (over 5.66 lakh), and the United Kingdom (over 3.13 lakh). More than 5.04 lakh people have died due to COVID-19. The COVID-19 death toll is maximum in the US, Brazil, United Kingdom, Italy, and France, as per data released by the Johns Hopkins University and Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center.
