This was because the postal department's foreign service was stopped due to the epidemic.


This year, the Indian Postal Department has restored the service. Now sisters can send rakhi to their brother living abroad. India Post tweeted, "Don't forget to send rakhi to your loved one who lives away from home. Indian Post delivers Rakhi all over the world. See this list to get information about countries where services have been started again. 



Indian Post has planned to deliver Rakhi to 101 countries. The Department of Posts of India tweeted this information. The Department of Posts has released a list of countries where rakhi can be sent. According to the Department of Posts, rakhi can be sent to 67 countries through EMS i.e. Express Mail Service.


These countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Mexico, Oman, Norway, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, UAE, UK and USA.  Rakhi can be delivered to 101 countries through air parcels on the other hand. In addition, letters can now be delivered to 99 countries. ITPS can also be sent to 14 countries.
