New Delhi: Amid tension on the border, India and Pakistan are set to hold DGMO level talks on Tuesday. Deputy DGMO, who holds a Brigadier rank, is likely to represent India. This conversation is going to take place over the phone and terrorist infiltration in Sundarbani sector near LoC is going to be a part of the discussion.
This comes after Pakistan’s border action team (BAT) attacked, Indian army patrolling in Rajouri’s Sundarbani sector on Sunday, which martyred three soldiers. But, before BAT team could have misbehaved with the mortal remains of Indian soldiers, another patrolling team of Indian soldiers launched an attack and killed two Pakistani terrorists.
As per Army sources, Pakistani army has been officially warned of not letting terrorists use their land. A senior Indian Army officer has informed ABP News that Pakistan has been asked to take back the dead bodies of the two killed terrorists.
This is a routine dialogue which takes place every Tuesday where both Indian and Pakistani DGMO discuss the situation at LoC.
Rajnath to visit J&K today:
Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu and Kashmir today during which he will review the security situation in the state and interact with political leaders, officials said.
During the day-long visit, Singh will attend a high-level meeting with Governor Satya Pal Mailk and top civil, police and security forces officials and assess the prevailing situation.
The home minister will review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the valley and along the border with Pakistan, during his visit on October 23, a Home Ministry official said Sunday.
