New Delhi: China's Defence Ministry has released an official statement after holding 8.5 hours-long military talks with India on Sunday. It was the 13th round of talks between India and China, held to discuss the resolution of the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.
"India insists on unreasonable and unrealistic demands, adding difficulties to the negotiations," the statement issued by China said.
China's People Liberation Army (PLA) spokesperson said that China is firm in maintaining its national sovereignty, while India on the other hand should cherish the situation attained at the India-China borders after the last round of talks.

"The Indian side should abide by the relevant agreements and consensus reached between the two countries and two militaries, show sincerity and take concrete actions to jointly safeguard peace and stability in the border areas with China," the spokesperson was quoted by India Today.
On the other hand, the Indian army has said that the Indian side pointed out that the situation along LAC had been caused by unilateral attempts of the Chinese side to alter the status quo and in violation of the bilateral agreements.
Therefore, it was imperative that the Chinese side should take appropriate steps in the remaining areas so as to restore peace and tranquillity along LAC in the Western Sector, reported ANI.
"It is our expectation that the Chinese side will take into account the overall perspective of bilateral relations & will work towards early resolution of the remaining issues," the Indian Army said.
The 13th round of negotiations on disengagement took place more than two months after the last round of talks that resulted in the disengagement of troops from Gogra (Patrol Point-17A).
