"Many lost lives in Manipur, mothers and daughters were ashamed. The country is with Manipur and a solution can only be achieved through peace. The state government and Centre are trying to find a way to solve problem and only peace can find the way," he said.

Six remote villages in the Naxalite-infested Bastar region of Chhattisgarh will witness tricolour hoisting for the first time since the country's independence, police said on Monday, as quoted by PTI.
Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P told PTI: "The tricolour will be hoisted in Chinnagelur, Timenar and Hiroli villagers in Bijapur district and Bedre, Dubbamarka and Tondamarka villages in Sukma district on Tuesday, where such an event has not been witnessed since independence."
