New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its parliamentary party meeting outside the parliament at the Ambedkar International Centre on Tuesday.

This meeting comes amid the protest by 12 suspended MPs outside the parliament. In reference to the suspended MPs, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said, “we explained why they had to be suspended. The country has witnessed whatever took place. It's on record. If they apologise even today, we're ready to withdraw the suspension.”

Joshi was speaking to the press after the  meeting and said that “In today's meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a call to organize Parliament Sports Competition, Healthy Children Competition and Suryanamaskar Competition.”

Joshi later said that the “PM has said that he will call the district presidents and Mandal presidents (of the party) for a meeting on 14th Dec in Kashi.”

He also informed that “PM has said to organise events, with such awardees (Padma Award winners) being on live contact (during the event).”

At the venue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also honoured for declaring November 15 (Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary) as the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

The venue of the meeting was changed due to repair work going on at the auditorium where meetings are usually held. According to PTI, the BJP parliamentary party meets every week on Tuesday whenever the parliamentary sessions are underway.

The choice of the venue is being considered as an important one because the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar passed on Monday. The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, Jitendra Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal and other BJP leaders.
