They are protecting the liquor mafia:

HAM spokesperson Danish Rizwan said, “RJD supporter and 2012 batch IAS Sanjeev Kumar Yadav is supporting the liquor mafia. He is helping the liquor mafia at the behest of RJD leaders. Tejashwi Yadav targets Bihar CM:

Controversy continues after 50 people die after consuming spurious liquor in the prohibition state. Leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav has cornered Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his statement on the matter. He has also hit out at Minister Ram Surat Rai.

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said, "In the last three days, more than 50 people have died after consuming spurious liquor in the prohibition state. Instead of taking action against the accused, the Chief Minister along with the state authorities and local police have been supporting the mafia and ultimately ruining the life of general public. They threaten people who go against them. When the Chief Minister was making false promises on taking the prohibition seriously, Ram Surat Rai, a BJP minister was standing next to him. Later, two trucks of liquor was recovered from a school owned by Rai.

Tejashwi attacks Ram Surat Rai:

Tejashwi said, "Even after his name is clearly mentioned in the FIR, Bihar Police has still not been able to arrest the Chief Minister's brother, who is one of the main accused in this incident. This is the truth of Nitish Kumar's alleged prohibition." In the past 3 days, more than 50 people have lost their lives to spurious liquor in Bihar. 17 people have died in Gopalganj, 11 in Bettiah and 6 in Muzaffarpur. 5 people had also lost their lives to spurious liquor in Siwan.
