New Delhi: Just a few hours after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav released Samajwadi Party manifesto, ex-CM Mayawati of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) attacked the former, on Sunday.

"Samajwadi party manifesto is disappointing,"said BSP supremo.

Taking a jibe at Akhilesh referring to her party symbol elephant at the event, Mayawati said, "I thank Akhilesh Yadav for giving our poll symbol free publicity by talking about 'haathi' repeatedly at SP manifesto launch."

Talking about crime in UP, she said-"In last 5 years, crime has dominated more than work by the SP government."

"SP never dared to send miscreants and culprits behind bars because that will end their party completely in the state," she added.

Earlier in the day Akhilesh Yadav launched party Manifesto promising a large number of things.

During the event, Akhilesh criticised BSP saying, "Patthar wali sarkar has done nothing for UP but for erecting stone statues of elephants, its poll symbol".

"If BSP comes to power, its government will install bigger elephants," he had said.
