Hyderabad:  In a shocking incident, a six-year-old boy was electrocuted while playing in a residential township in Narsingi area. The incident is said to be of February 11 and took place close to the block where he lived.

Reports say the boy studying in Class I was playing with his friends when he reportedly came into contact with a live wire near a lamp-post and got electrocuted.

A CCTV footage showed the boy collapsing near the lamp-post after holding on to it for a couple of minutes. The visuals showed the residents including children walking beside the kid having no clue of the pain he endured.  The boy was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The victim's father is a software professional and the family is a native of Tamil Nadu.

A case under IPC section 304A (causing death by negligence) has been registered.  ( VIDEO)
