Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he has committed “so much of sin” and that he will have to run away like Philippines dictator Ferdinand Marcos after losing the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. On the Opposition’s demand for Modi’s presence in the Parliament for discussion on Manipur, the former Bihar Chief Minister said that the PM is “guilty” so he is “unable to face it”.
Ferdinand Marcos was the President of Philippines from 1965 to 1986 who was exiled to the US as a result of his fraudulent electoral practices, corruption, economic stagnation, political repression among others.
"He is getting a place outside. He will have to run away like Marcos (Ferdinand Marcos). He has committed so much sin,” said the former railway minister while speaking to reporters.
On being asked about Opposition parties’ demand on PM Modi’s presence in Parliament for a discussion on the situation in Manipur, he said, “PM is guilty, so he is unable to face it."
On Sunday also, Lalu Prasad claimed that PM Modi was worried about losing elections and was looking for a sanctuary abroad. He made the remark when he was asked to comment on Modi's "Quit India" jibe a few days ago when the PM had accused opposition parties, which have formed the new coalition "INDIA", of corruption, nepotism and appeasement politics.

"It is Modi who is planning to quit... This is the reason why he is visiting so many countries. He is looking for a place where he can cool his heels and enjoy pizzas, momos and chow mein," he said.
The RJD chief said that he was looking forward to the next meeting of "INDIA" at Mumbai scheduled next month which he would attend alongside his arch-rival turned ally Nitish Kumar, the Bihar Chief Minister.
