Haryana Shocker: Congress State Spokesperson Vikas Chowdhury Shot Dead In Faridabad

As per sources, Vikas was hit with at least 10-12 bullets and was immediately rushed to Sarvodya hospital by shopkeepers at sector 9 market, where he passed away.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, Haryana Congress spokesperson Vikas Chowdhury was shot dead on Thursday morning near his residence in Faridabad. As per reports, he was heading towards his gym when 2 men opened fire at him, leaving him dead at the spot. The entire incident, which took place 9:05 am has been captured on CCTV camera, where Vikas can be seen leaving for a workout when 2 unknown men shot him down. The gunshots were fired at him as soon as he got out of his car. As per sources, Vikas was hit with at least 10-12 bullets and was immediately rushed to Sarvodya hospital by shopkeepers at sector 9 market, where he passed away. It can be seen in the video that the assailants came in a white SX4 car.
A complaint has been lodged and police are making attempts to find the men who can be seen in the captured footage. Vikas’ body has been sent for postmortem. The Congress party has termed the incident as a "cowardice act". The party also hit out at the law and order situation in the state, saying "The law and order Haryana is haywire." Even Congress president Rahul Gandhi condoled the death of the party worker and condemned the entire incident. More details on the same are awaited.
