Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spotted a 13-year-old girl carrying a portrait of him during his road show in Vapi, Gujarat, and asked his security staff to take the portrait from her, news agency ANI reported.

Ami Bhatu, a 13-year-old Vapi resident, says she gave PM Modi his portrait during his road tour in the city today. During the roadshow, he noticed her and ordered his security staff to collect the portrait from her; she felt honoured, ANI reported.

PM Modi began his roadshow in Vapi on Saturday, ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections. PM Modi was seen waving to the enthusiastic audience despite the tight security. He also asked voters to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in order to assist them to keep power.

The Prime Minister is slated to hold multiple public gatherings across the poll-bound state during the next two days, according to reports.

It should be noted that this is Modi's second visit to his home state since the Gujarat Assembly election timetable was announced. On November 6, PM Modi held a rally at Kaprada, Valsad district, and also attended a mass marriage event in Bhavnagar.
