Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia during his interaction with party workers in Guna was caught on cameras making disparaging comments against government employees of the state. Sisodia who was recently made the labour minister in the Kamal Nath cabinet allegedly said “those employees or officers who don’t work will be kicked out.”

Sisodia’s remarks were cheered by his supporters standing next to him. The video was apparently leaked by Congress workers present at the spot. His comments can cause disenchantment among government workers who are acclimatizing to the functioning of the newly-formed Congress government after having previously worked under the directions of the BJP government for 15 long years.

Sisodia’s comments have come at a time when the Madhya Pradesh government is being criticised for not facilitating the singing of 'Vande Mataram' at the state secretariat on January 1, the first working day of the month, a tradition followed by the previous BJP government.

A month before Madhya Pradesh elections, Congress Madhya Pradesh working president Jitu Patwari was heard asking the people to 'dump' the party and vote for him. The video of the incident had gone viral. He was appealing for votes in Bhopal leaving the Congress party embarrassed.

Reports say the newly-formed Congress-led government is likely to prove its vote of confidence during the session.

The Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is supported by MLAs of SP, BSP and Independents.
