The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday conducted searches at 31 locations across Rajasthan and Haryana in connection with the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Godara is affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This criminal group faces accusations of orchestrating the assassination of the renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022.

Gogamedi was a member of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, which was founded by the late Lokendra Singh Kalvi in 2006.

The organisation gained widespread attention in 2018 during protests against the film "Padmaavat," featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Karni Sena activists vehemently opposed the film, calling for its ban.
