MUMBAI: At least four children, two boys and two girls, were killed and five others injured when a five-storey building collapsed in suburban Bandra this afternoon, fire brigade sources said.
The building is located on Anant Kanekar Marg, Behrampada, near National School in Bandra East.
The injured have been admitted to hospital, sources said, adding that the operation to clear the debris was underway.
Another eight to nine persons were still feared trapped under the debris of the building, situated near the National School on A.K. Marg.
Five fire tenders, the NDRF and other agencies were engaged in relief and rescue operations.
