Former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief AS Dulat, who is also a former Special Director of the Indian Intelligence Bureau, on Tuesday participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi alongside Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.


Dulat, who served as an advisor on Jammu and Kashmir in the Prime Minister's Office from January 2000 to May 2004, walked with Gandhi before the Yatra entered Uttar Pradesh.


Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also joined the Yatra when it resumed after a break of nine days in Delhi. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and UP Congress workers welcomed the Yatra at Loni Border as it entered Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon.


The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which has so far covered 3,122 km over 108 days through 49 districts in nine states and one Union Territory (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi), will continue on to Haryana from January 6 to 10, Punjab from January 11 to 20, and will spend a day in Himachal Pradesh on January 19. It is scheduled to end on January 30 in Srinagar with the hoisting of the National Flag.


The Congress is now preparing to launch the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' campaign. Rahul Gandi has entrusted sister and AICC national general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra with the responsibility of leading the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' campaign across the country, with a special focus on women, reported ANI citing sources. 
 
Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said, "After the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress will launch a two-month 'Hath Se Hath Jodo Campaign'. As part of this initiative, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead foot marches and rallies with women members in every state capital to spread the message of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'," reported ANI.
