Torrential rains wreaked havoc in several regions of north India, causing landslides, and flash floods that claimed the lives of several people across the region. The heavy rains killed 15 people and caused rivers, including the Yamuna in Delhi, to reach dangerous levels. Roads and residential areas were submerged in knee-deep water across the affected cities and towns, overwhelming the local infrastructure in the face of record-breaking rainfall.

  • Torrential rains lashed several parts of north India on Sunday, killing 15 people in landslides and other rain-related incidents, while most rivers, including the Yamuna in Delhi, were overflowing, PTI reported.
