A fire broke out in a footwear factory in Narela on Saturday morning. This is the second time in a week that a fire incident was reported in the area. Several firefighters were rushed to the site. No casualties were reported, news agency ANI reported.
Six fire engines and twenty fire tenders were rushed to the site. The DFS officials said that a call had been received around 8 am and immediately firefighters were rushed to the spot.
"We received information about a fire Incident at a plastic slippers and shoes manufacturing factory in Narela. Several firemen and 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No casualties were reported in the incident," a senior official at the Delhi Fire Service stated.
The shoemaking factory is located in the H block of the Narela Industrial Area of New Delhi, as informed by the DFS officers. The cause of the fire in the factory remained to be ascertained but a probe has been initiated into the matter.
On Tuesday morning two people lost their lives and 18 got injured in a fire in the same area and 22 people were rescued.
According to ANI reports Earlier on September 23, a fire had broken out in a footwear manufacturing factory in Narela, which was later brought under control with the help of fire tenders.
