Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari while addressing party supporters near the SP’s office in Nimtouri, East Midnapore alleged he has details of calls made from TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s office to senior cops .

Adhikari referred to East Midnapore SP, Amarnath K, as he warned him to not do anything risky that would invite his transfer to duty in Jammu & Kashmir.

Referring to Abhishek Banerjee as ‘bhaipo’ or ‘nephew’, Adhikari said, “Do not do anything that may transfer you to Jammu and Kashmir. I have all the call records and phone numbers of those who call from the Bhaipo’s office. You have the state government with you, then we have the Central government with us.”

The claims come as the state government started a probe into several cases involving Suvendu Adhikari. His role in a tarpaulin theft case is being investigated by police, and the state CID has taken up the case of the suspicious murder of his security guard in 2018.

He further slammed TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee as he said, “I will start a CBI investigation against the role of IO, SP and OC. And then no one will be able to save you, not even Chotimoni or Pishimoni.”

An FIR has now been filed against the Leader of Opposition under multiple acts ranging from violating Covid norms to even hindering officials from performing their duties. Along with him other MLA names too have been mentioned in the case. .
