Delhi Traffic Today: As the farmers' protest continues on its 12th straight day, the commuters of the National Capital Region continue to face traffic woes as several routes remain closed for traffic.  Ever since the eruption of the agitation,  the Delhi Traffic police Twitter handle has been posting regular updates on roadblocks and route diversions for the convenience of commuters.

Here are which routes will remain open and which will remain closed for traffic today, as updated by Delhi traffic police:

  • The Chilla border on Noida link road is closed for traffic from Noida to Delhi due to farmers protests near Gautam Budh Dwar. People are advised to avoid Noida link road for coming to Delhi and use DND.

  • Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, Mangesh borders are closed. NH 44 is closed on both sides. Commuters can take alternate routes via Lampur,Safiabad,Saboli borders. Traffic has been diverted from Mukarba and GTK road. Avoid Outer Ring Rd , GTK road, NH 44.

  • Due to heavy leakage in water pipe line on NH24 near Nizamuddin khatta ,NH 24 from Ring Road side will remain closed for traffic today. However,NH 9 (Meerut Expressway) will remain open. Motorists coming from pragati Maidan side are advised to take second left turn instead of first. Motorists intending to go towards Akshardham while coming from Ashram/ Barapulla side may take at grade road up to Nizamuddin khatta instead of Sarai kale Khan flyover and then turn right under the flyover. Right turn over Nizamuddin khatta flyover towards Akshardham will not be allowed at all,however , vehicles may take U turn near Bhairo Road to reach towards Akshardham / Meerut Expressway.

  • Tikri, Jharoda Borders are closed for any Traffic Movement. Badusarai Border is open only for Light Motor Vehicle like Cars and two wheelers. Jhatikara Border is open only for two wheeler traffic.
