New Delhi: On the second day of his national tour, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao visited Chandigarh on Sunday where he said the farmers should keep fighting till they get constitutional guarantee for remunerative prices of their crops. He also added that if the farmers want, they can bring down government. "If farmers want, they can change government. It is not a big thing. From where the power comes, it comes from us. Agitation should continue till farmers get the right price and there is a constitutional guarantee for it,” news agency PTI quoted CM KCR as saying.

The Telangana chief minister also paid tributes to the farmers who died during the course of agitation against the Centre's three farm laws that have now been scrapped.

“I bow to farmers for their grit and determination,” the CM said as he referred to the year-long protest that ended last year.

During his visit, CM KCR also provided financial assistance to the families of the farmers, who died during the farmers' agitation.

He also lauded the contribution of Punjab to the freedom struggle and bringing green revolution in the farming sector.

"Punjab is a great state," KCR added.

KCR was accompanied by his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during his Chandigarh visit.

It is to be noted that over 700 farmers had died during the course of the protest at the Delhi borders due to several reasons, including harsh winter, road accidents, cardiac arrest and other ailments.
